New special friend in my home

This week has been running strangely fast, much faster than my previous ones. Each day has come and gone with apparently more lively activities. Do you know why ? Well, it’s a simple reason that I have just welcome a new special active friend into my home – that is the Shiatsu Massage Cushion SMC by Medisana. Since its appearance at the beginning of this week, my activity day has become much busier, more effective, and also more exciting with my training of some basic German home-therapy head and neck massage techniques with this lovely cushion.

For some months lately, for much concerned about my not-yet-recovered distorted voice status (that means still bad blood circulation in my head and neck), my darling Thang has made his considerable endeavors to search online and survey to many medical-care equipment and device shops in Hanoi, and he finally found and bought this German-made multi-functional massager called exactly Medisana Shiatsu-style Massage Cushion (SMC in short), which he considers most suitable for us with its small size, easy to handle, and most importantly, very effective in massaging our heads, necks, backs, as well as hands and feet.

Hearing Thang tell me to read the SMC manual for its use instructions, I felt so touched at my husband’s devoted care and thorough action for me that I could not express enough my thanks to him in words. Then I thought and keep thinking now that the best way of thanking him is my regular training with this massage cushion for some good result or visible certain progress of my health.

Delighted and hopeful for better improvement of my head and neck blood circulation, and also sometimes for my back pain relief with this cushion strong support, I was eager to read quickly but carefully all the main points of the operating manual. Through it, I have known that Shiatsu is a form of finger pressure massage and one of the most important massaging techniques along with manual lymphatic drainage and reflexology. This form of massage was developed in Japan but stems from traditional Chinese massage. Gentle stroking and beneficial pressure application techniques are used to awaken life forces and encourage them to flow through the body. The object of the massage is not just to ease tension, but also to optimise the flow of life force and harmonise body and soul.

Since the recent Monday afternoon, I have trained these massaging techniques 3 or 4 times everyday. I have felt this Medisana SMC Shiatsu Massage Cushion is a state-of-the-art device for genuine head and neck massage. With its 4 massage heads rotating in opposite pairs, the direction of rotation can be reversed. Additionally, the device is equipped with an optional heating function for massage heads. The combination of intensive massage and radiated heat makes the massage cushion an effective and relaxing treatment. During these recent days, depending on each exact position where my head or my neck was placed on the cushion, I felt each massage different, sometimes deeper, sometimes softer, altogether felt like someone’s fingers dexterously pressing on my spots on my head or neck, very relaxing and calm.

As said in the manual, the SMC will treat your tired muscles and tissues, thus improving your wellbeing after a stressful day. I believe so, and indeed felt my mind at ease and more optimistic after each massage. Therefore, I strong believe that with daily regular treatment, in some months’time, the cushion can help my blood circulation better, so to improve my voice, and provide me with pleasant relaxation and a peaceful mood for long. As it can also be used for massaging hands, legs, feet, and other parts, it is also useful for fitness, another area of my special attention now.

Last evening, sitting by my little Tuan along with the new friend being Shiatsu Massage Cushion, I was quite happy to be encouraged by my son, “Do you like to massage now, Mum ? Let me switch on the cushion and control it for you.” He stared at the massage cushion very curiously, then sometimes smilingly asked me,“How do you feel, Mum ? When you finish, please let me put off the power as per Dad’s guidelines”. I thought thanks to my husband being so active and dynamic, always looking for new things to serve us, all of us, especially I and my son have now enjoyed such favorable conditions with so modern technology of the world, so laborless and surely beneficial.

My darling and my son’s care and encouragement are firmly strong support for my higher determination to fight against my illness and get a better health because I understand deeply that for the time being, my good health partly means good happiness for my family.

Keeping Fit - Difficult or Not ?!!!

For some weeks lately, everyone who has met me has given the same comment that I look fatter. Hearing these words, I am not yet worried right now because I can see myself still slim in the mirror everyday, but I have truly realised that it is already time to be more vigilant to sweets, cakes, sugar, milk, butter… and their related products, and simultaneously to think seriously of a more proper diet regime and a more regular training program so as to control my weight effectively, keeping it from putting on any more.

As per my own experience in the past, to keep fit is not too difficult and quite feasible, but it requires patience and a high spirit of determination. That means for a certain period of time ahead, sometimes I must sacrifice part of my interests, I cannot live only by instinct. Furthermore, I must live by more will, essentially follow some strict rules for my daily living activities. I must choose which habits are good to maintain and develop while removing which are not good. Especially for my eating habit, from now on, I should temporarily limit myself from almost all roasted or grilled dishes or other fat-high food stuffs with their attraction for at least 3-4 months. Instead, I should offer my top priority to calcium-rich and fat-low or fat-free dishes, especially more vegetables and fruits. I know this process is not easy, but everything is always difficult at the beginning, should be gradually easier in doing afterwards. Therefore, for a practically beneficial objective of keeping fit, getting a healthier mind and body, living younger and looking nicer to everyone’s eyes and to myself too, I must overcome all and try my best.

To start this challenging campaign, this afternoon, I tried to make up a relatively adequate menu of several healthy dishes for one month ahead for convenient automatic implementation and unnecessary to think or wonder before cooking or eating out each day. As soon as I completed drafting a table on Winword for my new menu, very promptly, appeared in my mind the beautiful image of a special dish named Bun Rieu Cua.

Bun rieu is a Vietnamese traditional and typical rice noodle soup, which can be seen in many popular street-shops in every corner of Hanoi. There are several varieties of bun rieu, including bun rieu cua, bun rieu ca, and bun rieu oc (respectively with crabs, or fish, or snails as main bases for the soups). Bun rieu cua is served with tomato broth and topped with crab paste. In this dish, various freshwater paddy crabs are used, including the brown paddy crab found in rice paddies in Vietnam. The crabs are cleaned by being placed in clean water to remove dirt and sand. Then the crabs are pounded with the shell on into a fine paste. This paste is strained and the crab liquid is a base for the soup along with tomato. The crab residue is used as the basis for crab cakes. Other ingredients for this dish are: fried tofu, me or giam bong (kinds of rice vinegar), Garcinia multiflora, split water spinach stems, shredded banana flower, rau kinh gioi and some other herbs.

For me as well as most of other Vietnamese people, bún riêu cua must be enjoyed at its full delicacy with some small slices of fried tofu. Besides, depending on each person’s taste, bun rieu cua can be more flavored with a special sauce being shrimp sauce well stirred with lemon, fresh chilly, and a bit sugar. Finally, for me, this speciality is more perfect if taken with some pickled baby eggplants (ca phao), very typical of the Vietnamese countryside, that is the origin of Bun rieu cua.

Enjoying these charming images of Bun rieu cua, I am telling myself that this simple dish, with so remarkable qualities of calcium-high content, cool and fresh ingredients of tomato and various herbs, rich natural protein source of crabs and tofu, and most importantly, its special taste and flavor, is worthy of the top and opening position in my new menu. Today my menu is still short, but hopefully, day after day, it will surely get longer with more healthy dishes.

My ordinary close friends everyday !

Today is Friday already. I have been so busy this week with my son having made good preparation for his exam of Vietnamese which he must be going to start by 1.30 this afternoon. I am wishing all the best luck for him to do it smoothly. And also this afternoon, I can be reassured to return to my own work of writing new posts.

After a simple lunch with my usual favorite instant noodle branded Omachi, this afternoon, I was sitting for a while at the window, with a cup of tea, listening to light music, my mind feeling at ease. Suddenly, a thought came to me: I had written more than 10 articles on various dishes but seemed to pay attention only to special delicacies. What about those ordinary food items which I've been familiar with everyday, especially for my lunch ? I would be so unfair if I did not mention them as memorable close friends of my daily life now. Yes, first of all now, I am speaking of instant noodles.

Instant noodles have been familiar to each and all the members of my family for quite a long time. We have liked this product line for its time-saving and convenient advantages. Especially when the weather is rainy or cold and we cannot go out easily, or when there is no power, then instant noodles naturally become our strong support in getting our meals ready quickly and with a taste good enough.

Moreover, for my little Tuan, nothing is more tasty than instant noodles. Particularly, since recently, he has become best fond of the one branded Cung Dinh (Royal Palace in meaning) with its sour and chilly beef-soup flavor. Almost every Saturday noon, when at home, he usually prepares his lunch by himself with this instant noodle.

And about half an hour later, if I agree, he also prepares another bowl of noodle for his Mum but with another product named Omachi with a lighter flavor finely called "chops well-cooked with vegetables and fruits".

For myself at present, instant noodles of various brands together act a regular main role in my every weekday lunch. I like best the product series branded Omachi for they are made of potato, so they can partly help me avoid getting hot inside. This choice is quite sensible when I stay home alone. Cooking rice with some dishes for only myself is so time-wasting and heavy for me.

For preparing instant noodles, the quickest way is the same as the instructions shown on the packs. However, to make my lunch more delicious and have changing flavors day by day, I can cook the noodle in a small pan, and add different things.

Usually, I add tomatoes or vegetables for more cooling and freshness. For more flavors, I can add an egg, some pieces of soya curd. To make the noodle sweeter, I can put in some pork pieces, or chops, or beef, depending on my likes each day. So from one same block of uncooked dry noodle, I can make into many dishes of different delicacies. Finally, I never forget to add on top some herbs (preferably coriander) and green onions before getting the noodle completed. So I always have a good appetite with these do-it-myself meals.

It’s nearly 2 pm already. Now I must take a short break for having my yaourt the second time today. For nearly one year now, it has become my habit to have yaourt twice a day. Now I love yaourt very much. This passion of mine has surely come from the truth that this special milk product has helped me much in improving my skin, keeping me fit regularly, and also supporting my digestion better than before.

Furthermore, looking at such nice images as above, I cannot but remember back the days of my childhood when my Mother was still alive and always made everything by herself at home for me being her little daughter then. Among many many things she made, I still remember enjoying very much her so cool and fine white yaourt everyday.

I feel that time is flying so fast as it’s nearly 3pm already. I can imagine now Tuan must have completed all his exam. I can also imagine how he will look when coming home from school later this afternoon. No matter how well he has done with his exam, he will be surely tired and hungry when back home, and will certainly ask for something to eat then. So I must prepare something for his pre-dinner around 5pm or 5.30pm: maybe a small loaf of bread with cheese or butter will be a nice treat, followed by a drink of orange juice or apple juice. That’s fine.

And also now, what is for myself when nearly finishing this draft ? Maybe I'd better take a walk around my front yard as some exercise before re-checking my draft again and proceeding to post it on my blog. I’m whispering that I can be less strict to myself by allowing me to have a light instant coffee. Anyway, I am feeling very well and happy now, so enjoying coffee is quite reasonable and acceptable.

Good Appetite to All of You !

Delicious Sunday Lunch of Fish - Good Spirit Meal too !

Among our daily meals at home, I have always had my special interest for fish dishes. It is partly because I have learnt from various information sources and through my own experience too that fish is very good for human brain for all ages, especially for our memory. Yet more importantly, it is because I always feel those fish dishes dexterously prepared by my husband Thang are really delicious.

Last Sunday, seeing me and our little boy Tuan very busy revising many lessons for his coming exams, our chef cook Thang considered it best to improve our spirit by treating us a special lunch with an unique and changed delicacy – that was Sour Bamboo Shoot Soup with Tipilia Fish taken with rice sticky noodle.

Since Tuan’s smaller age, both Thang and I have agreed to gradually get our son used to almost all the Northern Vietnamese popular dishes for daily meals and even some necessary seasonings and spices such as lemon, chilly, vinegar, pepper etc. So now at his age of 10, Tuan seems to enjoy even chilly dishes like the bamboo shoot soup as said above. Moreover, after a whole week having had lunch at school with repeated dishes, he apparently showed very delighted to eat a special dish of a changing taste. So he kept smiling while quickly arranging the bowls and chopsticks for his parents and for himself too.

Truly, the soup was so hot, good-smelling and delicious. Not only Tuan but all of us were enjoying its rich-tasty and sweet-smelling flavor of the tipilia fish getting on well with the strange sour and chilly taste of bamboo shoots, combined with tomatoes, and more flavored by some fresh chilly slices, appropriate herbs, and onions.

Only spices or seasoning in this soup but quite worth our keen impression were the two special herbs called Culantro (Mui Tau in Vietnamese) and Rice Paddy Herb (Rau Ngo), both with very distinct strong flavors, thus making an excellent match for fish. For myself, such a Sunday meal is valuable not only for its special delicacy but also for its spiritual meaning of our family's close tie, mutual care and love. That's our simple happiness.

After lunch, I washed the dishes without feeling any tired. Then I and my son surely had a higher spirit to continue working in the afternoon and for the whole new week to come.

Women's Day Spirit !

I have been very busy for nearly a week now for helping my son Tuan revise his Vietnamese exercises in preparation for the upcoming examinations next week. However, today, quite pleasant in the spirit of Women’s Day of 8th March, I can’t but write a new post, though short, to share with you my happy feelings yesterday evening when having a small party with my father, my darling and my little son.

Yesterday on Sunday 7th March, we held the Women’s Day in advance to take full use of this off-day. As my family is quite small, and usually none of us likes to be finical in cooking, my Dad decided to buy a special dish from a restaurant nearby for our dinner. That was Fried Soft Shell Crabs, a seafood speciality of our common favorite.

Having got the main course so special, my chief cook Thang could not forget to prepare some special soya sauce with chilly and lemon to accompany suitably the dish. He also had mayonaise sauce for our choice. Besides,he also prepared a salad from fresh cucumber, baby tomatos, herbs and onions. We all understood that vegetables are always good for balancing and cooling while eating fried food. And as an assistant, little Tuan cooked some rice as usual.

Though at such a simple party, we were all very cheerful. In an usual good appetite, Soft Shell Crabs should have been taken together with beer. But the cold weather yesterday only allowed us to have this with some whisky and red wine.. Anyway, we still raised our glasses happily to cheer up for Women’s Day spirit. My father, Thang and then little Tuan successively wished me, the only woman in the family, their best wishes for my improved health and all joys everyday. Hearing them, I felt so happy that I seemingly saw the fresh roses they had presented smiling at me at that moment. Suddenly, I recalled earlier in the afternoon, I had been very touched by Tuan’s action of drawing some flowers on computer as a special gift for his Mother. Then he smiled telling me that next time he would try to draw more beautifully. I smiled at him too and nodded quite contently and of course passionately.

Yesterday evening, I thanked sincerely all the three men (the eldest of age 80 and the youngest of only 10 years old) in my family for their warm emotions for me. And now, in the middle of the special day for our whole world of women, once again, I would like to express our best thanks to all those men who have special attention and true emotions toward us. Their wishes and presents, though small, are all precious as good encouragement and inspiration for us in life.

Fresh feelings of Spring !

For some days now, it has been warmer and sunny again after such a cold weather prolonged during most of the time of the recent Lunar New Year holiday. As today, 10th of the 1st lunar month, is the first official school-day again for my son Tuan, he has been absent almost all the day. And my husband Thang, a dynamic businessman, has also got busy again with his appointments with his friends and some new partners. So I have been left at home alone with so valuable silence for writing this article.

Though being a housewife now who can be free in daily time control, I am still trying to set up and maintain for myself a relatively flexible weekly working-schedule so that I can never get too lazy and can be active enough. Therefore, today, as the offices have opened again and everyone has come back to work, I also want to resume working as a blogger.

Indeed, some days ago, I saw on TV and got very keen on an interview with Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Hue – a Vietnamese well-known writer of novels, short stories and films – who I had learnt and admired since my young age. I am deeply impressed by her comment that as a writer one should note down immediately his or her feelings, emotions or moods as soon as they come, or otherwise they could quickly fall into oblivion without memory. With a fresh feeling of Spring, I am recalling some pleasant memories I have just experienced during the recent Lunar New Year holidays.

From the past until now, Thang and me have agreed that Tet (Lunar New Year holiday) is special but not too special for us because we prefer having fun everyday (though little) to having too much fun only for some short days of Tet. Based on this directive spirit, we are never finical in preparing for our Tet as well as other festivals in a year. However, like all other Vietnamese families, we also began our Tet activities on 23rd day of Thang Chap (12th lunar month of the previous year – the Year of Ox), which was the Kitchen God’s Day. According to Vietnamese viewpoint from long time ago, the Kitchen God (Ong Tao in Vietnamese) lives in a family’s kitchen, records all what that family has done in a year and reports to the King of Heaven. Though already simplified, our worship ceremony for Kitchen Gods still included adequately scented joss-sticks, candles, flowers, fruits, joss-paper things, and most typically, two men’s hats, one woman’s hat and one carp. As the legend said, the carp should carry these 3 Kitchen Gods (2 men and 1 woman) to pass through the Heaven Gate (Vu Mon) to come to see the King of Heaven.

On the same day, I also began feeling more clearly the colors and fragrance of Spring when my house was decorated with fresh flowers. Only some red roses together with some branches of violet in a new ceramic vase brought to our living-room a new look, much fresher and more romantic.

For some following days, from 24th to 26th, I became happier for receiving many New Year wishes by email from my old friends and colleagues, who live in various regions of the world: Malaysia, Australia, United States...and Vietnam too. I always appreciate their warm greetings and sincere comments as good encouragement for me to try better in life. More particularly, I had a high spirit when Robert, a new friend online, who is an US designer presently living and working in China, posted on his own blog my New Year wishes for him with beautiful images of Vietnamese spring flowers. My special attention to this news came from the fact that last year Robert had become one of my first fans and friends on blogspot.com and often followed my posts with quite friendly and encouraging comments. Though this seemed a bit moody and child-like, I felt glad to have appeared to the readers with the title ”Thanh Nga – a very special person” on a professional designer’s website, I felt much encouraged for continuing writing my stories in English.

On the 28th of Tet, my little Tuan began his 10-day vacation for Tet. As a chief cook of our small family, Thang quickly finished his shopping duty for some necessary food items. His task was really much lighter because more than a week earlier, I had already bought all our proposed Tet presents for my father, my mother-in-law, and some other relatives (this was mainly to avoid the peak prices at Tet). Thang looked really cheerful when his own daughter Phuong (Tuan’s half-sister) and her husband An came to visit us with their Tet present (incl. Banh Chung and meat pies from Nam Dinh, his home town).

On the 29th day of Tet, both I and Tuan were responsible to tidy up our home and excited to decorate it with new fresh flowers. I arranged ten scarlet gladioli evenly in a white vase, added some small branches of violets for more color tones.

And then, I arranged in another black-and-red vase all violets in a free style, letting them look as natural as possible.

All the flowers were so fresh and beautiful to brighten our living space. More specially, this Tet we also had a small yellow apricot bonsai presented by a friend who came from Ho Chi Minh city. So we combined the colors from the North and South of Vietnam in our home.I put on some light music for a more joyful atmosphere, feeling it sweeter than usual.

I was smiling happily when seeing Tuan actively helping me and sometimes dancing some wrestling jerks while saying in both Vietnamese and English,“Chuc Mung Nam Moi ! Happy New Year ! Happy Tet!”.

In the afternoon of 29th of Tet, in a calm mood, I took Tuan to see my father aged 80, who lives in the neighboring house, and lighted joss-sticks to my Mother’s treasured memory. Similarly as every previous year, this Tet, I prepared carefully for my Dad a special present including some Ensure Gold powder milk (I thought most suitable and useful for his health) together with some lucky money. He looked quite happy and satisfied to have received my present and heard me telling about our business good success during last year. I wished him my warmest wishes for good health and happiness for the New Year of Tiger. My father also wished me for better health and better spirit for taking care of my own family, especially my son.

In the morning of 30th of Tet, my small family started leaving for my mother-in-law’s house in Gia Lam district in the suburb of Hanoi. Along our way from the centre of Hanoi to Ngoc Thuy district (in Gia Lam), we felt really peaceful and comfortable for the quiet streets with so few people, which scene could not be found in ordinary working days. On arriving in Gia Lam, after greeting my mother-in-law and other relatives in our internal family, we went to visit my father-in-law’s grave near the village. Such a visit to our ancestors’ graves by Thang as the oldest son in his family and Tuan as the first grandson is not only an obligation but also considered a very important deed at the end of a lunar year. It was a nice surprise and touching to both Thang and me when Tuan said, “I still remember last year I carried the photo of Grandfather in his funeral”. According to Vietnamese tradition, only the first grandson has the honor to carry his internal grandfather's photo in the lead of the funeral march. It seemed Tuan was partly aware of his important role.

At midday, we joined and enjoyed a family lunch party as the final meeting in a year with presence of almost all our internal family members. I also had for my mother-in-law a special Tet present being a nice-looking package of a dozen cans of Red Ginseng water from Korea. I myself had tried this product for some weeks and found my mind less tired in those days of changing weather. I presented her this special drink with best wishes for good health at her precious high age of 85.

In the afternoon, back home again, we had a final shower of the year. Then we were all well dressed to get ready for welcoming the New Year’s Eve to come in a few hours. For myself, I enjoyed very much a TV show on Hanoi’s 36 old streets with its special traditional features on Tet holidays: for example, Hanoi people’s eating customs on Tet with Banh Chung (glutinous rice cakes) and many special dishes, paintings on Hanoi streets, Hanoi’s peach and other flowers in Spring, and so on. This partly made me miss my Mother – a real Hanoian of the past.

My spirit seemed younger when the young newly-married couple Tuan and Hong, our grandcousins, came to us. I have found a common voice with them possibly for they are learning English in London (the language I have been familiar to for many years), and for they studied in China - the country I love to see in my near future.

Without sophisticated dishes, my small family gathered merrily in our New Year’s Eve simple dinner. We all became more fun and cheery while watching the comedy with its title “Meeting at the End of the Year”. That was about the final meeting between all the leaders (ministers) with the King of Heavens. Among the ministers’ reports on the Vietnam’s economic situation and all the fields of its society, I liked best the recommendation by the Minister of Transport to the King of Heaven that we should have Tet holidays more often so that our Hanoi streets could be much less crowded and there could be no traffic jam any more.

The weather got colder and began drizzling at the watch-night, a typical weather for Tet in Hanoi. When it was approaching nearly 12 pm, we went out to the entrance gate of Lenin park near our home where we could join many other people in watching beautiful fireworks in the sky to welcome the first moment of Lunar New Year. At that moment, each of us had our own emotions and feelings, but all of us were surely quite happy. Tuan was happier as we got for him a balloon of Doremon’s image. That was the character in the pictured stories which he was passionate in reading.

Thang being a man of Cat's year considered matching for this year of Tiger, we decided for him to first-foot our home very early on the 1st day of Lunar New Year. After that, we had our first lunch with my father. Though with only 2 dishes being boiled chicken and chicken vermicelli, our small party was very cheerful. My father and Thang had some whisky of Red Label while I and Tuan had some red wine. We all raised our glasses in a merry spirit, warmly wishing each other for good health, good luck, good success, prosperity and happiness in the Lunar New Year of Tiger with hopefully stronger power. Tuan was also self-confident enough to say: “Cheers!” to all the adults, especially to his external grandfather. Furthermore, my father also expressed his New Year wishes to Tuan by offering him some lucky money. In response, Thang also presented my father some lucky money.

This Tet was also special for the 1st day of Lunar New Year was also Valentine’s Day. For myself, although my husband seemed not to know about this special occasion (likely because he followed only Eastern customs), I still had a pleasant mood as having received some wishes from my friends in some European countries, especially from Germany – the nation I admire greatly for its modern architectural works and open interior styles.

In the morning of the 2nd day, Tuan was enthusiastic to set pen to paper for the first time in the New Year. He chose an essay on our family written in English for this important work. Next, we warmly welcame my nephew Duong. I was glad to hear him encourage me that my health would be better soon. He told me some examples of crippled people who had overcome all troubles and won themselves. Moved by his naive thinking and sincere comments, I smiled friendly and thanked him truly. Then I wished him to be more grown up as getting 16 this year, more matured, become a real man soon, and also study better in the New Year with the power of Tiger.

I must say that the weather during the recent Tet holidays were changing strangely and unfavorably for going out. After some very hot days before Tet, from the New Year's Eve until the 6th day, the cold was increasing day by day. That was the reason why on the 2nd and 3rd days, while my husband and son were visiting our relatives and friends around Hanoi, I had to stay home alone for keeping my newly-recovered health good. Luckily, I could not be bored because my friends and me could still exchange our New Year wishes by mobile, phone or email. Besides, there were many interesting shows on TV on Vietnamese traditional-trade villages for me to watch. Among these, I liked best the contest show between 2 villages in Thanh Tri district (in the suburb of Hanoi city) on making steamed rolled rice pancakes being their traditional local speciality. It was not important to be the winner but more important to maintain such traditional cultural features of Hanoi.

From the 4th onward, delighted with so much lucky money received during Tet, Tuan was willing and eager to restart his lessons on English. I was also very willing to practice speaking English with him and guide him to complete revising all the new words and model sentences he had learnt recently.

This evening of 10th, after the first official school-day of the Lunar New Year, Tuan came home happily with some more Lucky Money from his teacher and one mark 10 on maths. So he got first signs of good luck as good start for him for the whole New Year.

Now, I am completing this first post of the New Year of Tiger, I would like to write down and share with all of you, dear friends, my happy feelings and fresh inspiration of new Spring as a good start for my on-going flow of energy in writing English posts all over this year. I trust blogging is a good way to share my thoughts with other people and sometimes with myself, at the same time, to train me better in English writing skills. And another important point is that I do not have to kill time but am taking full use of my time.

Once again, Happy Lunar New Year !!!
